Inspiring every student, through every experience, every day!
2025-2026 Dismissal Time Change
Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, student hours will be from 7:55 AM to 3:10 PM. Families and buses will be able to drop off their child starting at 7:30 AM. All students will be dismissed at 3:10 PM, with bus riders loading immediately and buses departing promptly by 3:15 PM. Parent pick up will begin as soon as buses depart. This slight adjustment helps support district busing needs and also provides elementary students with an additional 15 minutes of instructional time each day. We appreciate your partnership in ensuring a smooth and efficient end-of-day routine for all students.
Dress Code Information
As we transition into spring, please remember that weather conditions can change quickly throughout the day. We recommend that students bring a sweatshirt or light jacket each day, as mornings can be chilly and our building temperatures may fluctuate. It’s helpful if students dress in layers so they can adjust if they become too warm or too cold during the school day.
Additionally, we ask that you help your child choose clothing that aligns with our dress code. Please ensure that shorts, shirts, and tank tops are of appropriate length. As stated in our student handbook, staff members have the final say in determining what is considered appropriate or inappropriate attire. Thank you for your support in helping all students feel comfortable and ready to learn!
Summer School Registration ENDING May 4
- The best way to keep learning over summer is by enrolling in summer school. Registration is closing on May 4. Please use the link below to get more information about registering for summer school. If you need help registering your child please contact the front office or email Brandy Miner at brandy.miner@westfieldpioneers.org
- Info on how to register found at: https://secure.smore.com/n/c75y2
- If you do not register your student for summer school, they should not just show up for summer school. They will not be placed in a class but will be put on a waiting list. A spot if they do not register before this May 4 deadline, will not be guaranteed.
As the year comes to an end...
As the school year concludes, remember to thank your child's teachers, discuss ways to continue learning during the summer, and stay connected. Celebrate your child's achievements and create lasting memories.
Express Gratitude:
Thank your child's teachers for their dedication and support throughout the year.
Summer Learning:
Discuss ways to keep learning engaging over the summer, such as reading, visiting libraries, or exploring local resources.
Celebrate Achievements:
Highlight the accomplishments of the year and acknowledge the hard work both students and parents have put in.
Family Time:
- Make time for family activities, such as outings, games, or simply connecting.
Stay Connected:
Stay in touch with teachers and the school community.
Summer Planning:
Discuss potential summer activities and how to keep routines consistent. The more consistent these routines can be over the summer the better it will be when returning to school the next year.
We are in the final push of the school year. As you review the calendar below you will see we have a lot of amazing opportunities for our students to explore our community and beyond. These field trips are a great way for the students to learn even though it is not a typical classroom. A few reminders to families that would like to help chaperone on one of these field trips that a current background check needs to be on file. If you are not sure if you have this please contact the front office.
