Hello Bothwell Families!

Thank you for your patience as we finalized our lunch procedures. We are excited to welcome parents and families to join their child for lunch starting on Tuesday, September 1st.

To help us ensure a safe and positive experience for all students, we ask that visitors follow these guidelines:

  1. Check in at the front office and obtain a visitor sticker.

  2. Sit at the designated visitor tables with your child.

  3. Students are not allowed to invite friends to sit at the visitor table.

  4. Parents may bring lunch for their child only. The sharing of food with other students is prohibited.

  5. Parent-assisted feeding should not take place in the cafeteria. Our goal is to support students while fostering their independence.
  6. Taking pictures or videos of other students is prohibited.
  7. Lunch visitors may not walk students to class, attend recess, go inside classrooms, student restrooms, or other areas in the building.

  8. Please limit lunch visits to once per month so that all families have the opportunity to visit. This also helps encourage students to enjoy a fun social break with their classmates.

We’ve noticed an increase in lunches being dropped off during the school day. Please help us by making sure your child brings their lunch with them to school in the morning. If your morning is busy and your child is unable to bring their lunch, please ensure it is delivered to campus by 10:00 AM.

We look forward to seeing our Bothwell families at Curriculum Night on September 15th!

Have the great weekend!

All the BESt,

Spirit Days at Bothwell Spirit Days at Bothwell

Spirit Days are extra fun! At Bothwell, we love joining in on district dress-up days.

Away for the Day - House Bill 1481 Away for the Day - House Bill 1481

A new state law, House Bill 1481, went into effect starting with the 2025-2026 school year, mandating that Texas school districts implement a comprehensive ban on personal communication devices during the instructional school day. This legislation is intended to reduce classroom distractions, protect student privacy, and encourage a stronger focus on learning.

In accordance with this law, all student personal electronic devices must be left at home or turned off and put away in their backpacks while on campus during the instructional school day.

Our administrative teams are working to develop clear guidelines and procedures to ensure a smooth transition.

We appreciate your partnership and understanding as we work to implement this significant change for some of our students and families, especially our high school students. However, we feel this presents a strong opportunity for us to work together to enhance the Learner Experience by providing a focused, distraction-free environment for all students.
