From the Principal's Desk:
HHS Families,
Welcome Back to the 2026–2027 School Year!
I am excited to welcome everyone to the first day of a brand-new school year. There is so much excitement in the air as our students return to the building, and our teachers and staff have been busy preparing their classrooms and getting everything ready for a great first day. I hope you are ready for a year filled with new opportunities, positive experiences, and success.
I also want to congratulate our varsity football team on an exciting win over Lapeer at the Big House last night! What a great way to begin the school year and represent Holly High School.
Let’s make it a great first day and an outstanding year.
As always, Go Bronchos!
Melissa Wachowski
Principal, Holly High School

Office Visits
During the first week of school, students will only be permitted to come to the office for direct assistance from a counselor for one of the following reasons:
- The student is experiencing a crisis.
- The student has a hole in their schedule for the class period currently in session.
For example, if 1st hour is in session and a student does not have a 1st-hour class, they may see a counselor. If 2nd hour is in session but the student’s schedule does not have a 5th-hour class, they should attend their scheduled 2nd-hour class and return during 5th hour.
- The student is scheduled during the current class period for a course they have already taken and passed.
Students with other scheduling questions or concerns should continue attending the classes listed on their schedules and fill out the Counselor Request form.
Student Schedule Changes
HHS will consider schedule changes when a student:
Is missing a core class that they need for graduation
Is scheduled in a class they already have taken
Is missing an hour in their schedule that needs to be filled
Has the same class twice on their schedule
Has changed their EDP plan, and a course may no longer be the most appropriate for their post-secondary plans.
HHS will not consider schedule changes for the following reasons:
Dropping an AP-level course
Request for a specific teacher
Changing classes for lunch reasons (a documented medical need supersedes this)
Request a course for a specific hour of the day
On the 1st Day of School, students should only come to the Counseling Office for a schedule change request if they have an incomplete schedule.
