December 12 Family Update
First Snow Day of the Year!
I hope your family enjoyed a bit of a breather with our first Snow Day of the year! My family certainly needed it!
We have reached the last week of the semester! Your children have learned a tremendous amount and we are proud of them. There is excitement in the building as we look forward to a 2 week break and a new start next semester. Please encourage your child to finish strong, turn in missing work, and to study hard for the final tests and exams.
As a former teacher, I would also encourage you to write an email or handwritten note (even better!) to your child's teachers. While Middle Schoolers may not spend all day with one teacher, CMS teachers know your child very well and have poured significant energy into connecting with him or her these last four months. Every teacher has some version of a "Fond Memories" file and a note from you or your child would be a treasured addition!
See you Monday Broncos!

Second Semester Schedules
Students will be able to access their schedules for 2nd Semester on Wednesday during Bridge Time. Please ask to see your child's schedule after school to be certain they have 4 core classes (ELA, Math, SS/History, & Science) and that none of their classes are repeated. If your child has 2 of the same class or is missing one of the 4 core classes, please contact the office.
Snow Day Cancellations
In the event of a snow day, all middle school athletic practices & competitions and co-curricular club meetings are cancelled. Rescheduling of school-wide events & athletic competitions will be communicated to families in the days following the Snow Day. Events like Parent-Teacher Conferences that mainly involve adults may be held if road conditions improve over the course of the day. Please watch for emails and social media for updates.

Please see the schedule to the below for 8th Grade Semester Exams. These exams typically assess material from the entire semester and are intended to prepare students for larger exams they may see in high school.
