Boulevard Staff Update
1 Person 1% Better Everyday
π One Person. 1% Better Every Day.
Greetings, Boulevard Team!
Thank you for persevering through another busy week! I appreciate your continued dedication, flexibility, and commitment to our students. As we continue our work together, remember our Boulevard motto: 1 Person, 1% Better Every Day. Small, intentional steps lead to meaningful growth for our students and our school community.
All PGPs have been completed! Thank you for taking the time to establish your professional goals. Ms. Spinks will begin scheduling pre-conferences, observations, and post-conferences. Since many of you are on a full evaluation cycle this year, I will begin conducting evaluations on October 19 and continue throughout November. My goal is to complete evaluations before Thanksgiving Break. Please work with Ms. Spinks to schedule your conferences and observations at a time that works best for you. Early scheduling will help us stay on track and ensure everyone has adequate time to prepare.
As we enter another busy week, let's remain intentional about our instruction, responsive to student data, and committed to strong relationships with students and families.
Continue to celebrate progress, collaborate with purpose, and look for opportunities to grow together.
Looking forward to a productive week ahead!

π TBTs: Keep the Focus on Student Learning
Please come prepared to engage in meaningful, data-driven conversations during your upcoming TBT meetings.
Grade-Level Leaders:
Document formative assessment data in the TBT protocol.
Bring formative assessment data for the team to review.
Bring the TE to help determine instructional next steps.
Be prepared to discuss the high-leverage action step taken to support the implementation of the previous week's instructional strategy.
Our TBT conversations should lead to clear instructional decisions that respond to student needs. Let's continue to use evidence of student learning to determine what to reteach, reinforce, and extend.
π MTSS Team Meetings
IMTSS meetings are scheduled for Thursday from 9:15β10:00 a.m. Please check your calendar to confirm whether you are scheduled to attend.
During these meetings, we will review progress-monitoring data and discuss student growth, current interventions, and next steps. Please come prepared with the relevant student data and updates.
WIN Time
This was our first week of WIN (What I Need) Time with support from our Title team and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who helped make this additional layer of student support possible! We recognize that our WIN structure looks different this year, and we are continuing to refine our approach to ensure students receive targeted instruction based on their individual learning needs.
As we continue to strengthen our WIN time, I am sharing a resource that may provide ideas and strategies for organizing groups, planning targeted instruction, and maximizing this valuable time with students.
Please take some time to explore the resource and consider strategies that may be helpful for your grade level. Our goal is to make WIN time purposeful, responsive to student data, and focused on helping every student grow.
π Interim Assessments: Moving From Predictions to Action
Great job, team! Our first step was completed during TBTs as we reviewed the interim assessments and made predictions about student performance. If there was a content area that was not thoroughly discussed, please add your predictions to your individual data analysis sheet.
This Week's Testing Schedule
Wednesday, October 14: 4th Grade ELA
Wednesday, October 14: 5th Grade Science
Thursday, October 15: 4th and 5th Grade Math
Please ensure students are prepared and testing procedures are followed.
After Testing: Look Closer, Then Act
Our work does not stop when students finish an assessment. We must use the results to make informed instructional decisions.
1. Identify the patterns.
Find your top five and bottom five items in CRS. Compare the results with your predictions. What surprised you?
2. Study the questions.
Examine the point value, complexity, and question type. Does our instruction reflect the rigor students encountered on the assessment?
3. Analyze student responses.
Dig into the Item Analysis Report to see which answers students selected. When multiple students choose the same incorrect answer, this may reveal a shared misconception that needs to be addressed.
4. Plan the instructional response.
Bring your worksheet, assessment blueprint, and scratch paper to TBT. Use your findings to plan targeted reteaching, flexible groups, and enrichment opportunities for students who are ready to go deeper.
Remember: Assessment data are most powerful when they inform our next instructional steps.
