STRUT Week
Each year, Newcastle High School comes together for one of our most meaningful traditions—STRUT Week, a student-led outreach initiative dedicated to supporting a member of our community facing a significant health challenge. This event has become a powerful reminder of what it means to stand together, support one another, and lift up those who need it most.
This year, STRUT Week will run April 27, 2026-May 1, 2026.
To attend STRUT events, students must purchase a wristband for the week. Wristbands are $40 and will go on sale April 6, 2026

StopIt
Sharing a new resource provided by STOPit, our partner for anonymous reporting. This new resource provides students who are in crisis direct access to a trained counselor for immediate help and support, regardless of the time of day. Here are a few notes about the program:
How does Crisis Text Line work?
You text 741741 when in crisis, available 24/7 in the United States.
A live, trained Crisis Counselor receives the text and responds quickly.
The Crisis Counselor helps you move from a hot moment to a cool calm to stay safe and healthy using effective active listening and suggested referrals – all through text message, using Crisis Text Line’s secure platform.
