Principal Salazar’s Final Message to Central Families
Dear Central Elementary Parents and Families,
As we come to the close of this very special school year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve the Central Elementary community for the past three years—and especially during this final year of Central’s remarkable 74-year legacy.
I am incredibly grateful for your partnership, your trust, and your support of our students, staff, and school. Together, we have built a community rooted in care, resilience, and pride. Central Elementary will always hold a very special place in my heart, and I will carry the memories of our students, families, and staff with me always.
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I want to wish all of our students and families the very best as you transition to your new schools. I know our students will continue to shine, succeed, and make us proud wherever they go. Please know that you will always be part of the Central family.
We also have some important upcoming events this week:
🎓 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony

- Families must RSVP in advance
- Only attendees with a ticket issued by Ms. Arellano will be allowed entry

This process is in place to make access more efficient and to ensure the safety of all students and families.
🎉 Kindergarten Celebration
Our kindergarten celebration will take place on:
- Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
All family attendees must also pre-register in advance to attend.
These procedures are in place to protect student safety and to follow SBUSD safety protocols for entering our campus. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Once again, thank you for allowing me to serve this incredible community. It has been a meaningful and unforgettable journey. I wish you and your children continued success, happiness, and new beginnings in the years to come.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Edgardo Salazar

STOP BULLYING
Bullying is repeated, intentional, aggressive behavior involving a real or perceived power imbalance. An imbalance of power means that the student engaging in the bullying behavior is using their power (such as strength or popularity) to control or harm others. Bullying will not be tolerated. All staff members are dedicated to ensuring that students feel secure and comfortable at school. See Something, Say Something-If a student is having any problems, they should be reported to the classroom teacher so they can be addressed immediately.
The following anti-bullying resources/strategies are utilized to raise awareness and prevent bullying:
- Restorative Practices
- PBIS Lessons throughout the school year
- Alternative Means of Correction
- Social skills groups run by School Psychologist
- Social and Emotional Curriculum
- United Against Bullying Presentation - English
