Hobbies/free time interests: Anything outdoors: sports, hiking, traveling, camping, beach days, gardening, and fishing. Also, really enjoy Badger Basketball, NFL, and Brewers. Any of course, extra quality time with family and friends.
What attracted you to apply in #PointerNation?: Having lived in Mineral Point for the past 16 years, my family and I have built our lives here, deeply appreciating the close-knit, rural community. This town has provided us with a wonderful environment to raise our children, and I am eager to contribute to the growth and success of this community through my professional skills. Mineral Point is not just where we live—it truly is our home, and I am honored to continue growing alongside this exceptional community.
Quotable: "Through warm, responsive interactions, I create an environment where students not only enjoy school but also recognize their value in the community and what they can contribute. I believe that every classroom should be a nurturing space where all students feel welcomed and accepted. In my classroom, these principles are not just emphasized—they are automatic and actively realized. I aim to empower students to see themselves as lifelong learners who grow both in and beyond our classroom.”

EIE GRANT RECIPIENTS
Keri Radtke
A big congrats to Keri Radtke, 2nd Grade Teacher, who is one of this year's grant recipients from the Mineral Point Excellence in Education Foundation! Her "Cool Kids Read Books" project received $390 from the Excellence in Education Endowment Fund.
"The purpose of my project is to inspire highly engaged young readers with modern texts that inspire a love for reading. Students will use these books in partners and/or groups to increase reading skills and fluency. Then they will explore 2nd Grade comprehension standards such as describing characters, the author's purpose, and story re-telling," said Radtke.

Dani Robb
A big congrats to Dani Robb, School Social Worker, who is one of this year's grant recipients from the Mineral Point Excellence in Education Foundation! Her "Yellow Tulip" project received $400 from the Burnell and Vivian Wang and Excellence in Education Endowment Funds.
"Students will plan tulip bulbs in the fall around the school and their community. The purpose of this project is to instill hope and happiness and when the tulips come up in the spring, after a long winter, tulips remind us of perseverance and the renewal of spring. These Hope Gardens will come up year after year, leaving a powerful message and impact in our school and community around mental health and removing the stigma associated with it," said Robb.
