🌟 Upcoming District Interim Assessments for Grades 3-5 🌟
The District Interim Assessments for grades 3-5 are fast approaching, and we want to ensure everything runs smoothly. Below is the important schedule to keep in mind for the assessments:
📅 March 10: Interim Science (Grade 5)
🕒 All assessments will be conducted during the regular class period.
Important Notes:
These assessments will be completed in one class period.
- Students may or may not finish the assessment in the allotted time, and that's okay!
- Please ensure that all students submit the test, even if they haven't finished.
- Students will log in using the TXSecureBrowser to access the assessments.
Hicks will provide each content area teacher with a bucket that includes the Material Control Forms, Accommodations, Student Test Tickets, and Session Codes for each assessment.
Thank you for your help in making this a smooth process for our students. If you have any questions, please reach out to Christa!

IMPORTANT MEASLES INFORMATION FROM GISD
The monthly focus of ‘Formative Assessment’ reflects on the practice of collecting data, providing feedback, and accommodating for learner needs to empower students to take an active role in their personal growth.
- Have you tried Formative Assessments in Seesaw?
- Did you know secondary teachers have *PREMIUM* nearpod access?
- If you are a secondary teacher, have you utilized any of the Formative Assessment tools in nearpod?
We are jumping into our next 7 Mindsets unit, “Live to Give”. It is all about becoming the best version of ourselves! This week’s lesson puts a spotlight on giving of ourselves to others.
Please keep sending the Kindness Shout-outs up to the office each day. We will keep reading them on morning announcements. I’m also hanging them on a bulletin board in hopes of filling the board with encouragement to keep it going.
