PROJECT PLAYGROUND PROJECT PLAYGROUND

The Project Playground Committee met to make a more solid plan about moving forward with plans to help the Parent Booster Group reconfigure our playground. It will be a two phase project.

Phase One: GOAL - Summer of 2024

  • Build up the west side with a berm to help with water drainage
  • Reconfigure the playground area -- Move Spider piece over and enlarge the grass area.
  • Remove older playground pieces.
  • Create a walking path around the grass that connects to existing sidewalks
  • Reseal the black top area and paint on foursquare, hopscotch and other black top games using templates from Peaceful Playground.
  • Turn basketball goal around the other way and remove the other basket ball goal
  • Establish an outside eating area (not for play area) using picnic tables to increase outside eating area and provide shade when needed.

Phase Two:- GOAL 2024-2025

  • Purchase new piece for playground area. The large playground piece will remain in place until new one is purchased.
  • Resurface playground area and remove gravel ( in PreK play area as well)

We are estimating the whole project to be $35-$40, 000 (with the new piece (phase two) being the bulk of the price). We want to involve the community.

  • Want to help through a donation ? -- LET US KNOW!
  • Want to with your time or talents ? -- LET US KNOW!

This project will involve a community work day or two and we would love for as many of you as possible to be a part of this renovation. We are excited to get started and to upgrade this area. Thank you in advance for helping us reach this goal.

More Improvements for the ECC

Thank you to Energy Pro Windows for helping with our continued renovations on our Early Childhood Center. This past week they installed new windows that will help with the cooling and heating efficiency of the building. We also were able to replace the roof last month. The work was done by Higher Roofing.

We wanted to give a shout out to Hazel Dover for her nomination for student of the month in December. Hazel was absent when we originally posted the pics. With all of the snow days -- we finally were able to recognize her and snap a picture!
