Mrs. Morgan's Message

The school year is now in full swing! The last day of Quarter One is October 4th. October brings many exciting events and opportunities for our students! Please be sure you are staying informed by regularly checking infinite campus, reading the newsletter, visiting our social media and website, and checking Infinite Campus.

I want to emphasize the critical role that regular school attendance plays in academic success. This year, our school has made improving student attendance a School Improvement Goal.
Here are a few ways you can support your child's attendance:
- Schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible. If your child does have an appointment during school hours, please only check them out for the duration of the appointment and have your child return to school the same day.
- Communicate with us if your child will need to miss school due to an illness or other concerns. Talking points is the quickest and easiest way to communicate with your teacher and/or the school.
- Encourage your child to stay engaged with school work even during absences.

Thank you for your continued support!

Upcoming Events:

1. Parent-Teacher Conferences: This is a great opportunity to meet with your child's teacher, discuss their progress, and learn how we can work together to ensure your child's success.

2. Red Ribbon Week: Please find the flyer below.

3. Fall Break

4. Trunk or Treat

5. Book Character Parade

**Hard Copy October Menus were missing the Week of Sept.30-October 4, please see breakfast & lunch choices below. There is also a menu located on the Walton County School District Website.

National Bullying Prevention Month

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. We will be doing a series of activities to teach students about bullying prevention.

* Sharon Elementary School offers students a confidential way to report bullying. Students may complete a bullying report and submit to their teacher and then the teacher will submit to Ms. Liddell, the counselor. Or students can report straight to our counselor. Please encourage your child to report any act of bullying and it will be handled immediately and appropriately.
