The Byron Profile of a Graduate: Preparing Students for Success
At Byron Public Schools, we are committed to fostering a learning environment that equips students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to thrive beyond the classroom. The Byron Profile of a Graduate serves as our guiding framework, ensuring that students have the opportunity to explore their passions, dive deeper into their interests, and prepare for life after Byron High School.
One recent example of how our students are learning invaluable life lessons through experiences beyond the classroom is the incredible achievement of the Dodge County Girls Hockey Team. Winning the first-ever Girls' State Hockey Championship was not just about securing a trophy—it was about teamwork, perseverance, and dedication. These student-athletes worked tirelessly, supported one another, and demonstrated the power of commitment, showing what can be accomplished through hard work and collaboration. The lessons learned through this achievement will stay with them for a lifetime, shaping their approach to challenges and success in the future.
Throughout all grade levels, from PK-12, our dedicated staff continuously strives to create meaningful experiences that align with our district’s mission: to build a "Community of Learners committed to making the world a better place." Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in extracurricular activities, our students are gaining the critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills necessary for their future endeavors.
As we move into March, we look forward to seeing our students continue to excel both academically and in their extracurricular pursuits. Their achievements—whether in competitions, projects, or personal growth—are a testament to the supportive and enriching environment that Byron Public Schools provides. We encourage our community to keep celebrating and supporting these incredible students as they work toward bright and successful futures.

Robotics Team IS Getting Ready For Spring Season
The Cybears have been working hard to create a fully functional robot this season. This Saturday the team went to our first scrimmage, finally putting our robot to the test in a competitive setting. We competed against 36 teams, which gave us insight on how we can further iterate our robot’s design. We can’t wait to showcase this season’s efforts at Byron’s Scrimmage on March 8, 2025 at the CEC. We’d like to invite our community to join the CyBears and 8 other schools to experience a day in the pits and to watch our robots compete.
