Attention Muraski Families

Good Afternoon Muraski Families,

We had an incredibly fun, but extremely busy week! Our students are already in the midst of the curriculum, but we are also still building routines, our classroom culture, and all of the teamwork that makes Muraski such a special place!

There are lots of new links and information below. We got to celebrate and get pumped up with the football team, band, and cheerleaders at our Pep Rally on Thursday! Then we held our Fall Team Building Field Day!

All in all we had a fantastic second week of school. The students and staff have earned an extended weekend! Enjoy the holiday!

JOIN US FOR MURASKI NIGHT AT THE FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT, AUGUST 29th.

Sincerely,

Mike Griffen

The 2025 Muraski Homecoming float has been designed and creating the vision has officially started! The theme the Spirit Squad decided on for this year is Hawaiian with some well known characters you may recognize! Under the direction of Mrs. Moon, the student volunteers are working on this during recess and other designated times. We are in need of supplies to keep things going and make their fun vision come to life! Items needed are below and need ASAP to allow for consistent creating. Items can be dropped off in the office for Mrs. Moon or your child can take them directly to the art room. THANK YOU!!!!!

A NOTE ABOUT GRADES FOR ENCORE: MUSIC, ART, & PE in ELEMENTARY (Last Time) A NOTE ABOUT GRADES FOR ENCORE: MUSIC, ART, & PE in ELEMENTARY (Last Time)

When looking at grades for these courses, please know that they are standards-based and NOT traditional percentages/letter grades.

M= Standard Met

P= Progressing to Standard

N= Standard Not Yet Met

In order for PowerSchool to show each student’s performance as a standards- based grade, we enter grades as a percentage, which is then converted into an M, P or N.. Each grade level and department has standards that students are working toward and this is what is being evaluated. Although you may see a percentage, please ignore the percentage and look at the progression toward the STANDARD (M, P, N). Grades/ percentages are not utilized in the sense that a traditional grading system uses them. You will see somewhere between a 50% and a 100%, but again, focus on the M, N, or P, as that is the official mark; the percentage is just a placeholder.
