Weymouth Early Childhood Center

Good Morning,

Safety: Thank you to all of our families for helping us keep arrival and dismissal safe and smooth for everyone. As a reminder, please do not block or box in our neighbors on Academy Ave., park on the crosswalk, or park near the corner of the driveway, as our vans need clear access to enter and exit the building. Parking in these areas can create traffic bottlenecks and safety concerns.

We ask families to closely supervise children at all times during arrival and dismissal. Please hold your child’s hand when walking through parking lots or crossing the street. Students should not climb the chain link fence or play on the front steps or grassy hill near the cafeteria entrance. While it is wonderful to see students socializing, this area is not a safe play space and can be distracting to students attending Champions and staff working in the front of the building.

Thank you for your attention, cooperation, and continued partnership. The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority.

Portraits and Poems: A PreK Art Celebration

Thursday evening’s WECC Art Show was a tremendous success! We were thrilled to see such a terrific turnout of students and families celebrating the creativity and hard work of our young artists. The artwork displayed throughout the building was absolutely amazing and showcased the imagination, effort, and joy our students bring to learning each day. A special thank you to our incredible WECC staff for inspiring creativity and helping our students shine. We would also like to thank our Parent Council for their support of this event. The Parent Council tables and raffle baskets were incredible and added so much to an already wonderful evening. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the night so special for our students and families! We hope you enjoy the photo album attached to this newsletter.

Staff Appreciation:

On a separate note, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our WECC families and especially our Parent Council for making Staff Appreciation Week so meaningful for our staff. Throughout the week, staff members were treated to breakfast, lunch, a hydration station, and delicious snacks, and we are excited to finish the celebration next week with an ice cream party! Your generosity, kindness, and support are truly appreciated and made our staff feel incredibly valued. Thank you for all you do for the WECC community.

Bus Transportation Applications for 2026-27
Bus applications for the 2026-27 school year will open this week. Families will receive an email with a link to the application form, along with the student information needed to complete the process. Families must complete the form for every K-12 student who needs bus transportation next year. Please complete and submit the form by the end of this school year, June 26th. If you have questions about the application process or payment information, please contact your school office.

The last day of school for students will be on Thursday, June 25th. This will be a full day.
