A note from the principal
Dear Maple Grove Middle School Families,
As we wrap up our first two weeks of the new school year, I'm filled with immense gratitude and excitement. Stepping into the role of principal at Maple Grove Middle School has been an absolute honor, and I've cherished every moment of seeing our hallways and classrooms come to life. The energy our students bring to school is truly inspiring.
This is more than just a new school year for me; it's the start of a journey to build a community where every student knows they are safe, cared for, and that they belong. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where students feel seen and supported, allowing them to thrive both academically and personally.
Our amazing team of educators are already working hard to challenge our students with purposeful learning that sparks curiosity and growth.
Most importantly, we are committed to empowering our students to pursue their dreams. We want to provide them with the tools and support they need to succeed, no matter what their aspirations are.
We are a team, and we are here to support your student and your family in every way we can. If you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to connect, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children, your partnership in this is invaluable. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year together.
Warmly,
Xavier Reed
Principal, Maple Grove Middle School
We are excited to welcome students back! The Mustang Memo is a newsletter sent to families of Maple Grove Middle School. It is one of the ways we communicate with families important information of upcoming events and activities. Another way to keep up to date is to look at our website https://mgms.district279.org/. We also communicate with families through email. If you change your email., please update it through ParentVue.
Parent Drop-off and Pick-up
Parent Drop-off and Pick-up
If you are driving your child to school or picking them up after school, the drop-off/pick-up area is at the community gyms entrance. Do not use the front entrance, as this is a designated space for our vulnerable student transportation. Please follow the winding line up to the curb by the building. Bright orange cones will help mark the path. Students must be dropped off and picked up AT THE CURB ONLY, and vehicles must stay in a single line. Students are not permitted to walk through the parking lot to and from your vehicle. Your help with this is very much appreciated and will help keep our students safe. Students can start entering the building at 7:45 a.m. so please plan accordingly especially during the cold winter months.
