Growing Together @ STL
February13th, 2026
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we move further into the month, I continue to be inspired by the joy of learning that fills our classrooms each day. From thoughtful class discussions to creative projects and acts of kindness on the playground, our students consistently demonstrate curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to doing their best. Thank you for your ongoing partnership in supporting both the academic and spiritual growth of our children.
Next week, we begin the season of Lent, a special time in our Church year dedicated to prayer, reflection, and service. I warmly invite all families to join us for our Ash Wednesday Mass on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Receiving ashes is a meaningful way for us to begin this sacred season together as a school community. Students will attend with their classes, and families are always welcome to sit with us.
Lent offers a beautiful opportunity for our students to reflect on ways they can grow—through small sacrifices, intentional acts of kindness, and deeper prayer. We look forward to walking this journey together and helping our students understand the importance of faith in action.
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community. May the week ahead be filled with many blessings for your family.
Kristie Phelan
Principal, St Luke

Children's Sacramental Preparation
Sacramental Preparation at OLPH. Our fall sessions are starting up this month and the children will celebrate these sacraments in December. (We also have support for families who wish to have their children Baptized, to "open the door" to these other sacraments.
Our parish is very grateful for the partnership of our Catholic Schools in the faith formation of our young people and their families! A personal email from the school Principal, the faith leader of the school, could make a special impact on families and encourage them to bring their children here to the Church for their sacraments. It could also be extremely helpful if the Grade 2-4 Homeroom Teachers would personally send parents a message about First Communion & Reconciliation for their children, and if Grade 6-8 Teachers could do so for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Thank you for everything you do!
