WP Weekly 1/5/25

Dear WP Families,

We hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing winter break with your families. We are so excited to welcome our students back to school tomorrow; our school simply isn’t the same without their laughter, curiosity, and the wonderful buzz of learning throughout the hallways and classrooms.

Below you will find our January calendar. After the excitement of the holiday season, January tends to be a quieter month here at school. It’s a great time for students to settle back into routines, refocus on learning, and ease into the new year together.

We’re looking forward to another wonderful week at Winchester Potters — and as always, Go Bills - farewell to "The Ralph!" 🏈💙🤍

JANUARY:

• January 5 - School Resumes
• January 7 - Board of Education Meeting at West Elementary
• January 12 - PTA Meeting at 5:30pm
• January 19 - No School - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• January 28th - 4th and 5th Grade Winter Concerts

Every Wednesday is a WP Wednesday! Join WP staff in wearing WP apparel or blue and yellow!

Parent Volunteer Information

• Volunteers are essential to the success of the West Seneca Central School District. You can help our mission by becoming a volunteer today.

• To become a volunteer, you must complete the online volunteer orientations.

• The training is completed once. If your family moves from one school to another within the school district, you do not need to re-train.

Winter clubs and activities begin this week and next week!

Please Note:

• The club flyer is posted below to remind parents of the dates, times, etc. of each club.
• Club advisors will reach out to you this week upon our return to school to let you know if your child is on the attendance list (based on maximum capacity). Unfortunately, due to supervision and spacing, we will not be able to accommodate every registration request that came in virtually.
• All clubs and activities, either before or after school, are parent transportation only.
• We will have a few additional spring clubs that will run later in the year as well. Stay tuned!

We are excited for the many continued offerings this school year and look forward to seeing students explore new interests, develop skills, and have fun with their peers!
