GREATNESS - SERVICE - FAMILY
Green Sea Floyds Elementary Vision
Green Sea Floyds Elementary is committed to the service of all students. We aspire to empower students to achieve greatness by providing meaningful learning experiences and fostering a family atmosphere that supports the physical, social, and emotional well-being of all students.
Parent Conference Reminder
We held parent conferences on Thursday, October 16. If you were unable to attend, please reach out to your child’s teacher as soon as possible to schedule a time to meet.
It is important that all parents attend a conference with their child’s teacher. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, ask questions, and strengthen the home-school connection that supports student success.
Thank you for partnering with us in your child’s education!
Morning Arrival Reminder
We want every student to start the day prepared and ready to learn.
If your child plans to eat breakfast at school, please make sure they arrive early. Breakfast ends at 7:25, when we begin transitioning into classroom instruction. Arriving a few minutes early gives students time to eat and settle in for a successful start to their day.
Thank you for helping us keep mornings running smoothly!
Rise with Reading Challenge Update
To date, we have logged over 300,000 pages as a school — and we’re just getting started!
Reading is one of the most powerful tools we can give our students. It strengthens vocabulary, improves focus and comprehension, and opens up new worlds of imagination and knowledge. Whether they’re reading for fun or learning something new, every page turned is a step forward in their academic and personal growth.
Remember — our goal is for every student to read 1,000 pages each quarter. Make sure to ask your child about what they’re reading. Your support can make a big difference and help each student reach their goals.
Let’s keep the momentum going and continue growing together!
House Picnic Brings Our GSFE Family Together
Every staff member and student from Child Development through Fifth Grade gathered for a special picnic lunch — and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day! The weather was beautiful, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter, smiles, and the sound of friendships growing stronger.
This picnic wasn’t just about enjoying good food and sunshine — it was about continuing to build the GSFE Family. Events like these give our students the opportunity to connect across grade levels, support one another, and strengthen the bonds within our school “houses.” Staff and students alike celebrated the sense of community that makes GSFE such a special place to learn and grow.
Together, we’re not just a school — we’re a family. And days like this remind us how powerful that connection can be.
