Every student has been specifically nominated by an adult in the building and we love getting to celebrate them!

π« Student Trip to Washington DC / New York City π¬
Dear Gruening Middle School Parents and Families:
For the sixth year Gruening is participating in a dynamic, hands-on, civic education program for students in Washington, DC! As educators, we are always looking for new and interesting ways to provide extra challenges and opportunities to enhance your studentsβ educational experience. We strongly believe that Close Up does just that and will provide a learning experience of a lifetime!
Our student trip is scheduled for February 21 β February 28, 2026 (starting two weeks prior to Spring Break-returning in time for the last week of third quarter). We will be traveling to Washington D.C., Colonial Williamsburg, and New York City!
If you would like to learn more about the trip, please come to our informational parent meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 5:45 P.M. in the Gruening Library. Please visit www.CloseUp.org to learn more about Close Up. At the meeting you will find out more specifics about the schedule, sights, activities, travel, pricing and payment options, and signup information.
Attached is a flyer with some basic information. If you are interested in the trip, but unable to attend the meeting, please complete the bottom section and have your child return it to Mrs. Foss or Mrs. Barringer next week.
There are limited spaces for the trip, so if you are interested please come to the meeting or let us know.
