Dear SHS Families,
As our first week of September comes to a close, we had the opportunity to celebrate our first Service Wear Day of the 2024-2025 school year. I want to thank all the students who participated in this month’s collection. Students collected $126.50 to be donated to Children’s Mercy.
We will be beginning construction next week on a new flat roof for the building, which we will need to adjust some of our procedures to accommodate, especially for pick up and drop off. Please see the Roof Construction email from the school office for more detailed information.
Speaking of information coming out, there are a lot of exciting announcements that have or will be coming shortly from the school office. Be sure that you are checking your emails for information about Doughnuts with Dads, Picture Day ordering, and new SHS spirit wear.
Next week, we will have our first Birthday Lunch of the year on Tuesday, September 10th. We will be celebrating all of the students with birthdays in both the months of August and September. If your student has a birthday in these months, and you would like to join them during lunch, please sign up with the school office. PreK-2nd Grade eat from 11:15-11:45, and 3rd-6th grade eat from 11:30-12:00. Adult lunches are available for purchase for $4.75 for those interested. You will need to call in advance if you wish to eat a lunch.
