Dear AES Families,
We’ve had a fantastic first four days of school! Our students have been busy learning schoolwide expectations and building great routines. A big thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to be a homeroom parent—your help makes such a difference! We still have several classrooms in need of homeroom parents, so if you’re interested, please fill out the parent volunteer form below.
This Monday morning, we will have our first morning assembly of the year. Students have been earning tickets for positive behavior and we will be having a drawing for prizes. We will also be talking about what it means to be an Audubon Eagle. Our mascot, Audie the Eagle, will even be making an appearance. Our assembly starts at 7:25 and is a great way to kick-off the week. If students are car-riders, it would be helpful if they arrived no later than 7:20 so they don't miss out on the fun!
Also, our lunchroom will officially open for visitors after Labor Day. Keep an eye out for the sign-up link in an upcoming memo so you can join your child for lunch!
With appreciation,
Mrs. Phillips & Mrs. Velotta

We apologize for all the issues with PikMyKid last week. We are hopeful that we are back on track for a smooth dismissal!
Here is a message from PikMyKid:
Parents--
The Pikmykid system has had some repeated outage issues related to Microsoft that impacted your dismissal processes. We understand this is frustrating during the start of a new school year and are committed to our support of not only school staff, but also the entire school community. We are working diligently with our tech team & Microsoft Engineers to prevent this from occurring again. While we do not foresee this to be a continued concern, please be sure to display car tags for added security and in case of any temporary process changes. Your school leaders & staff are working hard to keep dismissal times safe & efficient, and we are proud to support them. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
--The Pikmykid Team
As mentioned in the message above, we are working hard to make dismissal run safely and efficiently for you and your children. See the graphic below for information on how you can help with this as well. Thank you for your patience!
