Home of the Rabbits!
Mission: Providing inclusive learning opportunities so all students will be successful
Vision: We create and provide rigorous academic and social emotional practices that engage and motivate our individual learners.
School-wide Expectations:
Be Kind
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
Dear Rabbit Creek Families,
Welcome to September!
We have had a wonderful start to the school year! With the addition of another kindergarten class, our building is now officially full and bustling with learning.
Throughout the month, teachers will continue reviewing school-wide and classroom expectations to help students build positive routines. Our staff members are also recognizing students who demonstrate kindness, responsibility, respect, safety, and other positive behaviors by giving out Bucket Filler slips. Beginning next week, students will be called to the office to celebrate these accomplishments!
We will also recognize students each month for demonstrating the positive character traits taught during their social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons. These traits include respect, caring, inclusivity, integrity, and responsibility.
Thank you for your continued support as we begin another great year at Rabbit Creek!

Help Our Life Skills Progam
Our Life Skills program is looking for board puzzles and less than 50 piece puzzles to add to our classroom activities. If you have any gently used puzzles at home that your family no longer needs, we would be grateful for your donation!
Puzzles are a fun way for our students to practice fine motor skills, problem-solving, matching, and independence.
A box will be placed in the office labeled “puzzle donations for Life Skills”
Thank you for supporting our Life Skills Program!

After School Running:
We have 115 students signed up for after school running club this fall. This is just over a third of our student total at Rabbit Creek.
T-shirts will be ordered next week. Thank you to 4th grade student B. Fisher who designed this year's shirt. Thank you to parent and PTA member Julia Taylor for her help in ordering the shirts this year.
We could not host this many participants without our helpful running coaches: Mr. Coderre, Mrs. Faulk, Ms. McCarron Mrs. Maesner, Mrs. Nicolette, Mrs. Traxler and Mr. Welden.
Thank you to the PTA and front office staff for your help and support to make this fun fall activity a success.
Biking in PE:
- We anticipate receiving the ASD bike trailer in late September or early October. All K-2 students will ride balance bikes and Razor scooters and all 3-5 students will ride pedal bikes. More info to come on our bike unit!
Healthy Futures:
At the beginning of each month all students will be provided a paper log to record their activity each month. Students who are active for 60 minutes a day for 15 days or more of the month, will be rewarded with a small incentive prize from Healthy Futures. The goal of this program is to develop the habit of daily physical activity. September logs will be sent him just before September 1st.
Students can turn in Healthy Futures logs during the months of September, October, November, February, March and April.
Logs are not collected in August, December, January or May.
