School Safety
Update your child's emergency contacts
Having correct contact information on file for your child is important for school safety. When you registered your child, you provided the names of individuals who are authorized to pick your child up from school.
In the event of an emergency, these individuals will be contacted in the order listed, and they are the only individuals who will be allowed to pick up your child from school without written consent from the registering parent. This week, your child will bring home a form displaying the current emergency contact and pickup list information we have on file. Please take a moment to review this information carefully. If you need to make changes to your child's authorized pick-up list, you can make these changes directly using your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
1. Go to Infinite Campus Portal
2. Login with your Campus Parent credentials
3. Click More on the menu at the left of the webpage
4. Click Online Registration
5. Select Emergency Contact / Pickup List Change Only (Current Year).
6. Complete the prompts on the screen to update your child's emergency contacts.
If you need help with your Campus Parent account, please contact the data clerk or registrar at your child's school.

Bulloch County Schools' nomination window for Gifted Services is open January 2-22.
This spring nomination window and review is for children in first through eighth grades. It provides a time for teachers, parents, guardians, students, or peers to nominate any student who meets the specifications for this window of consideration.
All nominations must be submitted to the gifted services facilitator at each elementary or middle school by January 22. For your convenience, an online nomination form is available for each elementary and middle school on the school district's Gifted Education Services website.
Career & Workforce Development
School Safety is a Shared Responsibility
Keeping our schools safe is a shared responsibility. It takes all of us—public safety, the community, families, educators, and students—all working together to help keep our schools secure, positive spaces for learning. Visit our School Safety webpage for information, hotlines, and resources.
It's important for each of us to model good digital citizenship (especially on social media), build positive relationships, manage emotions and practice self-control. Our children are watching.
Throughout the school year, our schools practice emergency drills for fires, tornadoes, lockdowns, and intruders. We also support student mental health, teach about positive friendships and relationships, and promote safety on all fronts.
Your support is vital. If you or child sees or hears something concerning, please say something to law enforcement, a school principal, or a teacher. Visit our School Safety webpage for hotlines to report your concerns. Remember that social media is never the right place to share unconfirmed information. Together, we can protect our students and staff.
