Dear Spring Lake Families,
Our Character Trait for May is: Accountablility
Accountability is when you take responsibility for your actions.
Can you believe it is almost time to say goodbye to another school year? We have accomplished so much together this year, and it has been a joy to see our students grow and thrive. As we enter the final stretch, we have some exciting activities and events planned for the coming weeks to celebrate our achievements and enjoy the last days of school.
1. BOGO Book Fair: Join us for the Buy One Get One Free Book Fair next week (May 4th-8th). It's a fantastic opportunity to stock up on books for the summer. Be sure to check the flyer below for more details. Be sure to stop by on Wednesday, May 6th, from 8:30-9:10 AM for our family tailgate party.
2. Last Day of School: The last day for ALL students, including kindergarten, will be Thursday, May 21st. Please note that dismissal will be at NOON.
3. Lost and Found: Please remind your child(ren) to visit our Lost and Found before the end of the school year. Any unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity after the last day of school.
4. Class Placement Information for the 2026-27 School Year: Administration and teacher teams work closely together to determine class placements for the school year. We balance many different dynamics and have much to consider as we work to ensure the best fit for each child. We do not accept teacher requests; however, if there is any additional information to be considered , please fill out the following form (one per child). Filling out this form is not a guarantee of placement in a specific class.
5. Kindergarten Roundup Assessment on Monday, July 13, 2026: Parents of incoming kindergarteners are invited to sign-up for an assessment time. This assessment helps us prepare for the upcoming school year. Celebrating a Legacy: We would like to recognize Mr. Ewell's retirement after 37 years of teaching. His impact on the students of Spring Lake Elementary is immeasurable, and he will be greatly missed! See attached flyer for Open House details.
As we conclude another successful school year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our students, parents, and staff for their hard work and dedication. Your support and enthusiasm make Spring Lake a wonderful place to learn and grow.
