Principal's Message
Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish. John Quincy Adams
Dear Razorback Community,
The month of February, Black History Month, brought an array of enriching activities and learning opportunities to our campus. As March unfolds, a new wave of enthusiasm accompanied the commencement of Read Across America, marked by special guests from United Way on Friday.
With only five days until spring break, HNT is buzzing with activity this week. Throughout the campus, we are immersed in special reading activities to celebrate Read Across America Week, eagerly anticipating the creative outfits that will be showcased!
For our 3rd-5th grade learners, a series of Simulation STAAR assessments awaits, covering core subjects such as Math, Reading, and Science (exclusive to 5th grade). These simulations will furnish valuable data, guiding our instructional design and pinpointing additional support needed for our learners to thrive in the upcoming April assessments.
While the allure of vacation looms, community attendance remains crucial during this pivotal time of the year. Our dedicated staff is committed to delivering quality instruction, emphasizing the importance of students' active participation in the learning process. Let's strive to meet our daily attendance goal of 97%.
Lastly, a heartfelt congratulations to all our 3rd-5th grade learners who applied for magnet schools. On March 1st, acceptance notices were distributed, marking a moment of pride for each one of you. I eagerly look forward to hearing about the remarkable achievements you will undoubtedly accomplish on your educational journey.
Wishing everyone an inspiring week at Hogg New Tech, The Home of the Razorbacks!
Proud Principal of Hogg New Tech,
Ms. Molina
