Weekly K12 Zone Guide
April 9th

WHAT'S NEW IN THE ZONE
🎮 Daily Game Time @ 4:00 PM EST – A Fun Way to Connect!
We’ve launched a new daily Game Time in the National K12 Zones, giving students a chance to unwind, play, and connect with classmates from across the country—every weekday at 4:00 PM EST.
🕹️ What’s New?
Students can now access private chat rooms (up to 10 participants) while playing Minecraft or Roblox in the Zone’s new Gaming Area. It’s a safe and monitored space where fun meets friendship.
💬 Why It Matters:
Daily Game Time helps students build social connections, take a brain break after class, and enjoy some well-earned play in a positive, structured environment.
👨👩👧👦 How You Can Support:
Encourage your student to hop into the Zone at 4:00 PM EST and invite their Minecraft or Roblox friends to join! It’s a great way to end the school day with connection and creativity.
📌 Reminder: The Gaming Area is available in all four National Zones.
🏆 Two Exciting Student Challenges – Big Rewards Up for Grabs!
🎥 Get REEL for a $250 Prize!
Your student could win $250 by submitting a short, one-minute video sharing how their K12-powered online school experience is helping them discover their real self.
It’s a chance for them to speak from the heart and show the world what online learning means to them.
🗓️ Deadline: June 30 at 5 PM (ET)
📝 Registration is open now!
🧱 Minecraft Build Challenge – Leave Their Legacy
Is your student a Minecraft fan? This challenge is for them! Students can build anything they’d love to see added to the National K12 Zones—no theme, just creativity.
🏆 The winning build will be permanently featured in the National Zone for all students to see!
🗓️ Deadline: April 25
📍 How to Join: Students can enter directly in the Zone by clicking the challenge signs.
👨👩👧👦 How You Can Support:
Encourage your student to jump in and give it a shot—whether they love video storytelling, Minecraft building, or just want to try something new. These challenges are not only fun but offer a chance to be celebrated nationally!
Let’s cheer on our creators, builders, and storytellers! 🌟
🚨 Important: Students must go into the National K12 Zone to submit their Minecraft build or REEL video!
