“A clean heart create for me, O God, and a steadfast spirit renew within me.”

Book of Psalms 51:10

Safety & Security Update 2/20/26

Dear Saint Ambrose Parents,

We thoroughly enjoyed "I Love to Read" month. From mystery readers to Drop Everything and Read time, we shared the joy of a good book. Thank you to all who donated popcorn.

As we look to next week, we are working to finish the 2nd trimester strong. The last day of the trimester is next Thursday, March 5. To celebrate, we will have a "Swarm Shirt Thursday" on that day.

Spirit wear orders will be open from the 1st to the 7th of each month, with delivery approximately two weeks after the window closes. The current order window will remain open until 3/7/26. Items will be delivered to the school 2-3 weeks after the store closes. You can place your orders here: https://saintambrose2026march.itemorder.com/shop/sale/

Before School Activities

To ensure a safe and organized start to the day, we will now have a staff member stationed at the main school entrance from 7:45–8:30 a.m. to supervise student drop-off and help direct students to their appropriate locations for before school activities. This added supervision will help ensure that all students arrive safely and transition smoothly to their activities. All students arriving before school for any activities should enter through the main school doors. This is a change from some previous procedures for certain activities, and we appreciate your attention to this update. Thank you for your partnership in helping us maintain a safe and orderly environment for all of our students. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Are you in need of child care April 7th, 8th and 9th? Please consider our Swarm Extended Day Care. Spots are filling quickly and will be limited. Fill out the form here!

Financial Aid

Financial Aid Applications are due March 16th. Our Financial Aid Committee will consider all applications and make recommendations to us regarding the distribution of our financial aid dollars. We will make every effort to work with families so Saint Ambrose School is open to all. However, our assistance funds are limited, and we may not have funds available for those who do not apply by the deadline. Applications can be submitted online at www.tads.com. When you apply, mark the “Aim Higher Scholarship” and the “CSAF Scholarship” as those are two opportunities for our school to receive funding to support families in need.

Recess Help

If you love the cold and enjoy children, we need recess help. Let us know if you are interested.

Bus Transportation

South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo) will use an opt-in transportation system for the 2026-27 school year to help ensure the most efficient routing for students eligible to ride a school bus. The form can be found here. Every family must complete the opt-in form by Friday, March 13, 2026.

Invite Us Deeper

Almighty and ever living God,
you invite us deeper into your world, your people, your Lent.
May this time be one of outward focus;
seeking you in those we often ignore.
Help us live a Lent focused on freedom, generosity, and encounter.
Give us hearts hungry to serve you
and those who need what we have to give.

Amen.

Saint Ambrose Way and Faith Virtue: Embracing the Virtue of Responsibility

Students Living the Virtues:

Our school continues its focus on faithfulness, and during March a particular theme will be responsibility. Responsibility means being dependable, making good choices, and taking accountability for your actions. A responsible citizen looks out for the well-being of others and understands we all have a part to play in making the world a better place.

One way students and teachers are emphasizing responsibility this month is through safety. Students can be safe in their interactions with others and in their actions by avoiding choices that can lead to harming themselves or others, thus leading to a welcoming environment. Growth in faithfulness through responsibility and safety are traits that can be practiced at home and school.

It is a blessing that we have this opportunity for parents, students, and staff to work in cooperation to build hospitality at St. Ambrose and in the world.

A few ways we can practice responsibility and safety:

  • Focus on self-improvement

  • Doing a little better each day

  • Be more Christ-like

  • Be aware of our surroundings

  • Think before we act

  • Follow directions

  • Keep our word

  • Consideration for others

Saints we pray with this month:

  • Saint Katharine Drexel Feast March 3rd

  • Saints Perpetua and Felicity March 7th

  • Saint Patrick March 17

  • Saint Joseph March 19

  • Saint Oscar Romero Feast March 24th

Holy Day:

  • March 22nd Annunciation of Our Lord
