We are so excited to kick off the 2026–2027 school year with all of our Center students! We can't wait to welcome back our returning Cardinals and greet our newest students, both those entering Kindergarten and those who are new to the Longmeadow community.

Our custodial staff has done an incredible job this summer preparing the building for another school year. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, Center is sparkling and just about ready to welcome students. At the same time, our teachers are setting up their classrooms and planning engaging learning experiences that will inspire, challenge, and support every child.

We are looking forward to a year filled with growth, discovery, and joyful learning, and we are grateful to partner with you in making it a successful one.

We can't wait to see all that our students will accomplish this year!

Beginning in September, Center School will kick off each week with our Cardinal News Broadcasts!

Each broadcast includes school news and announcements, birthday celebrations, highlights of the great things happening around Center, and much more.

Our weekly broadcasts are shared with families every Monday and are a fun, easy way to stay up to date on everything happening at Center School. We hope you enjoy watching each episode as much as we enjoy creating them!

You can also find every broadcast anytime on our website:
https://ctr.longmeadow.k12.ma.us/families/cardinal-news-broadcasts

The Center School's website is kept up-to-date and current with everything you need from documents, school information, the school calendar, classroom websites, resources for families and much much more. Head on over to https://ctr.longmeadow.k12.ma.us/. There is a new area on the website where you can find easy access to the school calendar, monthly menus, and more! There is also a section for all of our upcoming events.

Looking for community events, youth programs, family resources, and other opportunities? Be sure to visit the Longmeadow Public Schools Bulletin Board, where you'll find district-approved information from local organizations all in one convenient place.

Once each month, Center School shares a newsletter with our families filled with important updates, upcoming events, and highlights from around the school. Each edition celebrates the amazing things happening throughout our building, recognizes our student and staff award recipients, and features photos from classrooms and school events. You'll also find updates from our PTO and information about ways to get involved and support our school community.

All previous newsletters can be found on our website at: https://ctr.longmeadow.k12.ma.us/families/monthly-newsletters

All volunteers shall complete a criminal record check (CORI) form which can be obtained through the school office. Once submitted, a criminal record check can take up to 10 business days to receive the results of the CORI request.

Center is very lucky to have a dedicated and generous P.T.O.!

The P.T.O. fundraises and supports many things for the students and staff of Center. This includes enrichment opportunities, field trips, field day, teacher and student appreciation weeks, and several family events throughout the year.

You can get involved in the Center community by coming to one of our community meetings.

• Tuesday, October 13, 2026 in the Center Community Room at 6:00pm
