Message from the Principal
As we wrap up a very busy and productive month, I want to extend my sincere thanks for your partnership. November is always a special time at Baker, and your support makes all the difference.
Thank you to all who joined us for parent teacher conferences. These conversations are essential to strengthening the home school connection, and we truly appreciate your time and engagement. We are also grateful for your participation in the Book Fair, Bake Sale and Read-A-Thon. Your involvement helps bring valuable opportunities and resources to our school community.
November was full of learning as well. Our grade 5 students participated in an engaging lesson presented by the Natural Resources Trust titled “Composting Conundrum: Turning Waste Into Energy.” Students explored how composting impacts our environment and ways they can make a difference. It was a wonderful hands on experience that sparked deep curiosity and conversation.
As we head into the holiday week, I want to wish all of our Baker families a warm and joyful Thanksgiving. We hope you enjoy time with loved ones and find moments of rest and gratitude.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and school community.
Warmly,
Mrs. Werb

Together, We Help Our Students Shine!

FOOD POLICY
🍎 Food allergies are a growing concern in schools, and keeping all Baker School students safe is our highest priority. To protect children with food allergies — including those that can be severe — we cannot allow food or edible treats to be shared at school. We greatly appreciate the kindness behind bringing in treats, but we must kindly decline them so every child can be safe.
🎉 We know birthdays and special occasions are important! Families are welcome to celebrate by sending in non-food items such as:
-
Books
-
Pencils, erasers, or notepads
-
Folders or stencils
-
Crayons, colored pencils, or markers
-
Small games or playing cards
💙 Thank you for helping us keep all students safe while still making their special days meaningful.
TOY POLICY
🎒 We ask for your support in making sure students do not bring toys or games to school—electronic or otherwise—as they often create distractions during learning time. If a special classroom reward is planned, your child’s teacher will communicate that directly with families.
🖐️ To support students who may need sensory breaks or tools for focus, the school provides a variety of appropriate classroom resources.
⚽ For recess, the school also supplies balls, jump ropes, hula-hoops, and other equipment, so there is no need to bring items from home.
💙 Thank you for your cooperation in helping us create a safe, focused, and engaging environment for all students.
