Happy Fall Ya'll
It is officially Fall. School is definitely in full swing as our students have settled into their daily routines and have finished the first round of MAP testing. MAP testing is one measure our school uses to understand student academic progress. Teachers can use MAP results to focus classroom improvement goals.
Our school also has building-wide goals. Silver Lake continues work from last year focusing on improving our academics by refining structures and resources to support the implementation of Universal Design for Learning Framework (UDL). Planning lessons is an important component of UDL implementation. When our staff plan lessons, attention is given to ensure all our students can access the curriculum and have options of how they demonstrate what they have learned.
As always, please reach out to your child's teacher(s) if you have concerns about your child's education. Parent-teacher Conferences will be upon us before you know it. The dates set for Fall Conferences are Oct. 11 & Oct. 16: 3:00-7:00; Oct. 18: 12:00-4:00. More information will be communicated soon.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jill Marr
Chromebook Insurance
A reminder that if you selected to purchase insurance for your student's Chromebook, payment must be made in full by September 30. If you have the insurance in your family access cart, please log on and make that payment. If you do not, please either add it and make a payment, or contact our school office. We can add that fee to your cart so that you can complete the payment process.
