Bulldog Bright Spot
October is National Principals Month, a time to recognize the leadership, dedication and care our principals show every day.
Our principals do more than manage buildings, they lead with heart and Bulldog Pride! Thank you to Ms. Lillie, Mr. Brandt, Ms. Becker-Utess, Mr. Berryhill, Mrs. Hilker-Loch, Mrs. Barnum, Mr. Kueffner, Mr. Prelesnik and Mrs. Vandecar!
From guiding teachers to supporting students and building strong connections with families and the community, their commitment to doing things the Bulldog Way inspires learning, belonging and excellence across the district.
We are proud of our team of Mason principals and the difference they make. Please take a moment to thank our principals for all they do!
Reminder: No School Friday, October 10!
Mason Made: What is in the 2025 Bond Proposal?
Mason Made is more than hometown pride, it’s a connection to our community and a long history of delivering high-quality education to our students. As we look to the future, Mason Made means aligning our school buildings and learning spaces with our exceptional education system, now and for generations to come. Hear what school and community leaders have to say about investing in our schools in the short video below.
The bond proposal will appear on the November 4, 2025, ballot. If approved, it will generate an estimated $66 million for districtwide projects without raising the current tax rate for Mason homeowners. Learn more about the proposed bond on the MPS Bond website and vote November 4!
School Meal Funding Update
This week, Governor Whitmer signed the education budget which includes continued funding for free meals for all public school students. This means all Mason Public Schools students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch for the remainder of the school year with no changes or interruptions to meal service.
A reminder, while meals are free, students must purchase milk (when sold separately from a meal), any a la carte items and extra main entrees. Please check your student’s lunch account often to ensure adequate funds are available for these purchases. If you have questions about lunch options or adding money to your student’s account, contact the Food Services office 517.676.6529. A list of a la carte pricing is available on the Food Service website.
