Theater 3 reads to our future Cobras!
This week, our theater 3 kids read aloud to students at Wortham Oaks Elementary. It was a great experience, and our future Cobras loved spending time with our students!
Dessert Day with the BBQ Club
At the latest meeting of our BBQ Club, desserts were on the menu! Our future PitMasters showed off their sweet tooth by making a variety of tasty treats! Our students were so proud to share their hard work, and our staff were very happy to serve as taste testers! We can't wait to see what is yet to come.
Costa Rica interest meeting
Dear families,
We’re thrilled to share that we’re heading to Costa Rica in Summer 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us!
This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. I’ll be sharing all the details, including what we’ll see and do, hands-on learning activities, academic opportunities, trip costs, and how to secure a spot at our informational meeting.
Meeting details:
📅 Date: September 30
🕒 Time: 5:30 PM
📍 Location: Cibolo Creek Middle School, Room A 119
👉 RSVP here to join us: https://rsvp.eftours.com/musemt7
We’ll also open enrollment during the meeting—spots are limited, and I would love to help you secure this experience for your child.
In the meantime, please visit EF’s website to get answers to common parent questions. EF Tours is our trusted travel partner, and they have 60 years of experience helping students explore the world safely and affordably.
I hope to see you there and look forward to sharing how this trip can be a powerful and unforgettable chapter in your child’s life!
Please note this is a non-school sponsored trip.
VATRE
Did you know that Judson ISD has a VATRE election on the November 4th ballot?
A Voter‑Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) is an election required by state law when a school district’s Maintenance & Operations (M&O) tax rate exceeds the voter‑approval threshold. When approved, it provides local schools with additional funding to support daily operations such as teacher pay, academic programs, and student services.
Did you know that property taxes for senior citizens 65 years or older who have filed for the “Homestead Exemption” will not increase because of the VATRE proposal?
Under the homestead exemption, taxes are frozen at the dollar amount of the year the individual turned 65 and regardless of future tax rate increases, the tax levy for the 65-year-old can never escalate beyond the ceiling dollar amount.
Have questions about the VATRE? Dr. Fields is hosting a Community Forum September 30th at 6:30pm at Wagner HS, join us!

September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Construction Update
Along with the weightroom, our rolling equipment storage system was installed in the football closet. This allows us to maximize space and take care of our equipment for years of use.
The track received sealant coatings on Friday, and once cured, will be ready for our track team!
