The Big Night is May 1st!!!! Art Show 4-6 in the BHS Main Lobby and 1700's!!! Fashion Show @ 6:30 in the PAC! Can't wait to see our Fabulous Kiddos show up and show out!!!

Student Admission Tickets - $5

These are NOT available online! Student pricing is only available at the door the night of the show with a BPS school ID. Cash or card.

Whether it is connecting with Creative Industry Luminaries in the classroom, out in the community, or dominating prestigious national shows, BHS Art Students have been piling up the accolades! As always, The Cobb Fund is the Fuel for so many of these wonderful opportunities! Thank You!!!

BHS students Elliott Brown and Matt Brancaccio had the amazing opportunity to work with Fashion Designer to the stars Kate Broadrick -- They helped fabricate the garment below that was worn by Shakira! ...and do you see that giant billboard? Yup -- That's the work students helped with on a giant billboard in Madrid! How awesome is that?

We just learned that Delandra won a very prestigious NATIONAL Scholastic Gold Key for her pitch black comic "Wash Day"! The Scholastic Art Awards received over 310,000 entrees from across America and Canada and only a few hundred were awarded National Gold Metals! For the math folks out there, that's less than 0.3%! Delandra has also been invited to the awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall in NYC! Congrats again Delandra! We're so PROUD!

Huge Congrats to Ray Whitely for their huge win as a finalist for the Junk Couture Contest in NY City! In the Junk Couture contest, students are challenged to create a fashion couture outfit from 100% recycled materials and bring it to life on a global stage!

HUGE thanks to Professor and Graduate Director in the School of Film and Animation at RIT Tom Gasek, who generously shared his time and expertise with our Cartooning and Animation Students! Students got hands on instruction from an industry pro (check out the fun video below)! His website is full of inspiring and amazing work!

Check out this year's wonderful BHS winners in the Hyannis Library's Young Photographers' Contest! It's a wonderful contest that really highlights student expressive talent across the Cape and does a great job getting the students' work out into the community! Student images can be seen at the Cape Cinema in Dennis, as well as on the Cape Cod Camber of Commerce website!

Local Comic luminaries Craig Florence and Kai Barrows conducted an awesome workshop in comic creation! Students learned the tricks of the trade in layout, storytelling and inking from two of the best!

We love it when connections are made! CC Times columnist (and wonderful community partner) Larry Brown saw Grace's alumni post and ended up doing a whole feature in the Sunday Cape Cod Times about her work!!! Check out the thoughtful and inspiring article here!

Students welcomed visiting artist Cedric Douglas, "VISE1", to BHS for a lecture and workshop on aerosol art techniques! Cedric is well known a Boston based artist who describes himself as designer, street artist, social interventionist and muralist. He recently painted a mural of immortalizing the great Donna Summer! Cedric shared his inspiring story and did a hands on workshop with students in Studio Art classes at BHS. The students created their own large-scale collaborative paintings with a positive message of VIBE and LOVE which can be seen in the parking lot near the football field!
