eDCSD Online Back to School Update

As we prepare to begin school next week on Wednesday, August 13, we are sending out the back to school update again with reminders and to include new students has they have enrolled. Please review the information before with helpful information about starting school next week.

Welcome to the beginning of a new school year at eDCSD Online. Whether you are just joining us or are returning for another year, we are excited to help you continue your learning this year. All students and families, both full time and part time, will receive this communication each week. Please read the information below for information about the start of the school year.

Courses will be available beginning Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 8 AM.

We are excited to welcome our full time students back for Blended Learning. It is held at 373 Inverness Parkway Suite 207, Englewood, CO 80112.

While at Blended, students will participate in projects and activities to support relationships between the teachers and students as well as peer connections. In addition, all staff including administrators, counselors, tech support, school psychologist, learning coach, learning specialist, and office staff are available to support students with any questions or needs.

Our first day of Blended Learning for each level are below:

Middle School: Wednesday, August 13, 2025 9 AM - 12:30 PM - Required Attendance

Elementary School: Monday, August 18, 2025 9 AM - 12:30 PM - Required Attendance

High School: Tuesday, August 19, 2025: 9 AM - 12:30 PM - Recommended Attendance

Each week, students should attend their virtual classes. These are live classes held on Google Meets with teachers and the students in their assigned courses.

If you are returning to eDCSD this year, there is a change to our Due Date Policy. New and returning students, please carefully read the new work submission due date policy at eDCSD this year.

At eDCSD, our goal is to help students develop healthy work habits and time management skills.

Work each week will be assigned on Wednesday morning and will be due the following Tuesday night at 11:59 PM.

Students will be able to submit the work for an additional two weeks after the Tuesday night deadline. After an assignment has been open for 3 weeks, the assignment will close and will no longer be available for submission.

We hope that this new policy helps to encourage students to work synchronously with the class while still allowing for the flexibility that eDCSD families desire.

K-8, eSTAR, and Base students will complete Express Check-In through their neighborhood school/Primary Line of Enrollment. eDCSD is not doing express check in. Since the neighborhood school is the Primary Line of Enrollment, they will be accepting all new information for 25/26 (address, email, telephone number changes, etc). Please complete this ASAP.

For Summit students, eDCSD is in the process of sending out registration paperwork via email the end of this week. Once you receive it, please complete it and return via email.

All families in all programs will receive an Online Affidavit via email at the end of this week. Please complete this and return via email. The state requires this form each year of all students who participate in online programming.

All student fees for the 25/26 school year have been added to MySchoolBucks. After you complete Express Check-In and other paperwork, please visit MSB to pay fees for the school year.
