Message from Ms. Lahey
Greetings Hembree Families!
We had a wonderful week at Hembree! The Talent Show took place last night and again this morning, and it was absolutely amazing. This event is always such a highlight for our community. It was extra special for me this year because I participated, and I had so much fun. A huge thank you to Jenny Soberanis and Lisa Tejada for all of their hard work, and thank you as well to Laura Stowers, who helped in countless ways. Events like this are part of what make Hembree such a special and fun place.
Yesterday, we had our final site visit from our Zone Superintendent, Dr. Angela Parham. It was a tremendous success, and I am incredibly proud of the staff here at Hembree.
The board did not approve May 21 as a furlough day for the district, so the last day of school for students will be Thursday, May 21. Please plan accordingly, as end-of-year parties will take place that day.
The last week for extended learning and clubs will be the week of March 30. Tuesday clubs will end on March 31, and Thursday clubs will conclude on April 2. Please note that after Spring Break, students will return home using their usual transportation routes. Chorus will continue beyond these dates.
Enjoy the beautiful weather predicted for the weekend! I am looking forward to some warmth and sunshine.
Warm Regards,
Nancy Lahey

Parent feedback in past meetings helped create some of our favorite school events, including International Night, the Learning Celebration, and Parent ESOL classes. Your voice really does make a difference!
If you were unable to attend, please take a moment to complete the Parent Input Survey. Right now only 36 surveys have been completed, and we need at least 100 responses.

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) will also use this feedback to help guide programming for next school year, so we truly value your thoughts and ideas.
Thank you for helping make Hembree Springs even better for our students and families! š
Student Learning Needs Parent Input Form
Dear parents/guardians,
Please use the form below to provide input regarding your child's individual learning needs for the upcoming school year at Hembree Springs. Ultimately, the final decision on class placement resides with the school. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A SPECIFIC TEACHER IN ANY WAY.
If you would like to provide input, please complete and submit this form (one for each child) no later than April 3, 2026. The form will be open from March 20 at 1:00 pm to April 3 at 5:30 pm. Contact Dr. McAtee, CST, if you have questions at mcatee@fultonschools.org.

Elkins Pointe Middle School PTSA Board Open Position
The Elkins Pointe Middle School PTSA Board needs your help in finding our Auction and Community Partnerships Chair for the 2026-27 school year.
The Auction and Community Partnerships Chair leads the efforts that make many of our student programs, teacher grants and school events possible.
This role oversees the annual PTSA silent auction, our primary fundraiser, and coordinates any additional fundraising initiatives during the year. The chair works with a small team of volunteers to gather auction items, connect with local businesses and help plan a successful event.
Why it matters:
The funds raised directly support teachers, students and programs that enrich the experience at Elkins Pointe. If you enjoy organizing projects, building relationships with local businesses and working with a team to make something successful, this is a rewarding way to make a meaningful impact at the school!
If you have a rising 6th grader or current EPMS student and are interested in learning more, please email epms.ptsa@gmail.com.

Beanstack Reading App
Have you heard your child mention anything about an app called Beanstack? It was introduced in the Media Center. Beanstack is a digital reading log that students can use to log the number of minutes they are reading. They can earn badges and rewards along the way. If your child is reading at school, home, daycare, etc. they can log their minutes and help us get closer to our goal. The following is a video explaining how to use Beanstack from home. You can always find your child's lunch number/student number in infinite campus or email Mrs. Soberanis: soberanis@fultonschools.org. Happy Reading!
