Low Ash Primary
Weekly round up - 28.3.25
Thank you to everyone who attended parents'/carers' evening this week. We hope you found it informative. A big thank you too to the Year 6 prefects who helped on the evenings (pictured below). I am sure you will agree that they were a great help!
We can't believe we are heading into the final week of the spring term. A reminder that we break up next Friday (4th April) and return to school again on Tuesday 22nd April.
Stars of the Week
EYFS and KS1 Stars of the Week
KS2 Stars of the Week
Well done to this week's Stars of the Week! You should all be very proud of yourselves.
Attendance
This week's school attendance is 96.8 %.
Whole school attendance so far this year is 95.1%.
Early Years/Key Stage 1 classes of the week are 1B and 1P with 99.4% attendance!
Key Stage 2 class of the week is 3M with 99.7% attendance - well done!
Once more, here is the link to the attendance page of the school website which has information on the Penalty Notice system. Ultimately, more than 2 penalty notices could result in the council taking you to court and a criminal record. We really do not want any of our families to have to go through this.

T&A Education Awards
Some of you might have already seen this in the T & A but Safa, one of our Year 5 pupils, has been shortlisted for the T&A Star Student of the Year award due to her bravery in helping to save her grandmother's life. The ceremony will take place on Thursday evening and we have everything crossed for Safa. However, whether she wins the final award or not, she is definitely a star pupil!
Schools' Prom
On Wednesday evening some of our Year 6 pupils got the opportunity to play at the Schools' Prom at St. George's Hall. They had a rehearsal in the afternoon and then an evening performance. I know there were some nervous children but they all did a great job!
OPAL - Outdoor Play and Learning
If you have any items you would be willing to donate to school to replenish our 'stock' of playtime equipment, they would be greatly appreciated. Things we are always on the look out for are:
-old pushchairs
-office 'spinny' chairs
-sand pit toys
-gardening equipment
-dressing-up clothes (old adult clothes are great for this. They don't need to be fancy dress)
-unwanted board games or books (these are used in the 'yurt' - our quiet zone
-old wellies
We are also looking for yoga mats should anyone have any of these they want to get rid of!
We are frequently visited by other schools who want to look at our playtime provision. One recent visitor emailed us to say 'Our staff felt very inspired to see the children having so much fun and being so engaged in their play. Oh to be a child with all the enrichment you have at Low Ash - you have created something very special there."
We are very proud of our playtime provision but we couldn't do it without you so thank you to everyone who has donated things in the past.

Online Safety
All of the guides we share with you can be found on the Online Safety Page of our school website. We update this each week with a new guide.
This week's useful guide is all about an app which, although it has been around since 2019, has suddenly 'taken off' - Bluesky Social app.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday.
