Principal's Message
Beginning next week, K-6th grade students will participate in their narrative writing benchmarks. Since the beginning of the school year, students have been developing their writing skills through a variety of assignments exploring diverse narratives. These benchmarks will provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their growth and apply the writing skills they have practiced throughout the year.
We encourage families to talk with their children about the importance of these assessments and remind them to take their time, stay focused, and always do their best. Thank you for your continued support in helping our students grow as confident and capable writers!
Fall Book Fair is Coming to Beckman!
We are excited for our students to get their hands on more books for their bookshelves and libraries. The fair will start Monday, October 19th through Friday, October 23rd in our school library. The students will have classroom visits with their teachers during the school day.
PARENT shopping is ONLY AFTER SCHOOL from 2:01-4:00pm. For those parents with an AM TK or Kindergarten student, get some extra shopping time from 11:30am-12pm.
Wednesday, October 21 is a minimum day. The Book Fair will be closed to families during the regular school-day hours. However, families will have an opportunity to shop during our Harvest Festival from 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Please consider sending your child with cash or setting up an E-wallet account.
E-Wallet allows the students to shop with a budget you set.
Visit our school’s Scholastic Book Fair Page, the hours, and eWallet.

Parents are allowed on campus to volunteer at the Book Fair. No experience is necessary to volunteer. We need many volunteers. Please reach out to Ms. T, our school librarian is you are interested. Her email is cturturici@lodiusd.net.
If your child plans to shop at the Book Fair after school, please coordinate your pick-up time accordingly. We appreciate your help in keeping our parking lot moving safely and efficiently and avoiding unnecessary delays.
Thank you for supporting our Book Fair and helping make this special opportunity possible for our students. Your support helps make our Book Fairs such a valuable experience for our Beckman Bobcats!
