Hello Families,

We recently learned about a tragedy involving a child in the Roosevelt neighborhood at Cedar Crossing complex and like many of you, we are devastated by the news that a child in our community has passed away.

We know tragedies affect students, families, staff and the wider community. While we don't know many details other than it has been reported that the child is not a student in Seattle Public Schools and is a 4 year old boy, we do work closely with Seattle Police and other community partners as tragedies occur. We have our tragedy response teams including counselors and social workers ready to support students that might be struggling with trauma connected to what has been reported in the news over the last few hours.

PTA NEWS!

Mark your calendars: PTA potluck Nov 19 at 7 p.m.

For the November PTA general meeting we’re trying something different: a potluck! We’ll share food and socialize for a while before having a (brief) official meeting. We’ll have a movie going for the kids. If you’re attending please fill out the potluck form so we can have a sense of who’s bringing what (and maybe avoid having 5 potato salads!)
