Pride Preview Vol. 30
Week of Monday, Mar 30 - Friday, Apr 3, 2026.
Principal's Message
As we enter Week 30, we have a short but incredibly important week ahead of us. With Good Friday this week and our unused inclement weather make-up day next Monday, we are heading into a well-deserved four-day weekend!
Before we head out for the break, this is our final instructional push before the STAAR Reading Language Arts (RLA) assessments kick off next week for our 3rd through 5th graders. Let’s use these next four days to build confidence, reinforce our high-leverage TEKS, and ensure our students are practicing on the Cambium platform so they know exactly what to expect.
Please remember that this Wednesday, April 1, is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day. Our paraprofessionals, teacher assistants, and support staff are truly the backbone of our campus. They step in to cover classes, support small groups, assist with lunch and arrival, and provide daily care and encouragement to our students. Their dedication does not go unnoticed—please take a moment to celebrate and thank them this Wednesday.
Additionally, Librarian Appreciation Day is this Saturday. Ms. Acevedo wears many hats on our campus, and much of her work happens behind the scenes. Librarians are among the most versatile professionals in education, with responsibilities that continue to grow and evolve each year. Ms. Acevedo’s ability to adapt, innovate, and support both students and staff is admirable, and we are grateful for her contributions to our school community.
Thank you for helping us recognize and celebrate these outstanding members of our team.Let’s have a focused, purposeful, and positive four days.
