ROAR Report

All students will be bringing home a reading calendar today. Our goal at Taylor this year is called “20 for 20”—reading 20 minutes for 20 nights each month, for a total of 400 minutes.
Students who reach their monthly reading goal will be entered into a drawing for a prize!
On the back of the calendar, you’ll find fun and helpful ideas for how to get your reading minutes in each month.

Todos los estudiantes llevarán a casa un calendario de lectura hoy. Nuestra meta en Taylor este año se llama “20 por 20”: leer 20 minutos durante 20 noches cada mes, para un total de 400 minutos.
¡Los estudiantes que alcancen su meta mensual de lectura participarán en un sorteo para ganar un premio!
En la parte de atrás del calendario, encontrarán ideas divertidas y útiles sobre cómo cumplir sus minutos de lectura cada mes.

The last day to order t-shirts/sweatshirts will be September 8th. After, the online store will close, and orders will be filled and delivered.

El último día para pedir camisetas/sudaderas será el 8 de septiembre. Después, la tienda en línea se cerrará y los pedidos serán procesados y entregados.

We have three buses that drop students off in the morning and pick them up after school.
If your child rides the bus, please put something in their backpack for them to do each day (a book, something to color, etc..).
We do not have any control on when the buses arrive, and it is difficult for students to have to sit and wait for long periods of time.
If any bus is later than 4:00pm, I will send a text to notify parents.
Tenemos tres autobuses que dejan a los estudiantes por la mañana y los recogen después de la escuela.
Si su hijo viaja en autobús, por favor coloque algo en su mochila para que pueda hacer cada día (un libro, algo para colorear, etc.).
No tenemos control sobre la hora de llegada de los autobuses, y es difícil para los estudiantes tener que sentarse y esperar por largos períodos de tiempo.
Si algún autobús llega después de las 4:00 p. m., enviaré un mensaje de texto para notificar a los padres.

Parents, we will be needing parents volunteers throughout the year for different activities (vision screenings, fund raisers, etc...) If you are available and willing (THANK YOU to the many of you who expressed interest!) , we would love to welcome you into the school with us!
