It was a busy February. Students were engaged in both classroom activities and their student activities outside of the classroom. Juniors took the ACT this week. We had seven wrestlers qualify for districts. Students had class meetings with Mrs. Ballinger to go over scheduling. We have started the scheduling process for next year. All eighth through eleventh grade students have received a course handbook via email and have received a scheduling form. Please review this form with your student and sign it. It is due to the office ASAP.
Mrs. Allen, longtime Centerburg English teacher, retired on February 20. We wish her the best in her future endeavors. She plans to spend plenty of time being "grandma."
The end of the quarter is on March 15. Make sure you are checking your students' grades. Please contact his or her teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
We have two new faces in the high school this spring. Ms. Kristy Vargo will be taking over Mrs. Allen's English courses for the remainder of the year. Ms. Vargo is a recent graduate of MVNU. Ms. Jane Webster is a long term substitute for Ms. Malas. She recently retired from teaching science at Westerville City Schools. Welcome to Centerburg Ms. Vargo and Ms. Webster.
