Front Entrance Safety
To help us identify visitors to the school, we kindly ask that you remove your hoods and put your umbrellas down when ringing the doorbell during these winter months. This helps the staff identify visitors during school hours. Thank you so much for your attention to this matter.
Upcoming Events and Activities
Christmas Non-Uniform Day
On Thursday, December 18th, let’s spread our Christmas cheer by decking ourselves out in the most outrageous Christmas-themed items we can find! Please bring a minimum of $5 to support our Christmas outreach initiatives, AND a food bank donation too so we can support our local families in need during this holy season.
Last Day of Term
As is tradition here at St. Michael's School, we will end the term on Friday, December 19th with Mass at 9 AM, followed by a Carol Singing assembly in the gym at 10:30 AM. Dismissal will take place immediately after the assembly. All students must be picked up by 12 PM as supervision ends at this time.
Lost and Found
As we approach the end of term, we want to return as many items to their owners as possible! Next week, our Lost and Found items will be placed at the front entrance of the school. Please take a few moments to look for any items that belong to your child. Any items not picked up by Thursday, December 18th, will be donated to our used uniform store or to local charities in need.
Library Book Return
A reminder that all library books need to be returned next week before Christmas break. We will resume our book exchange in January.

Advent and Christmas Schedule
To prepare for the joyful coming of Christ at Christmas, it is essential to take the time to prepare our hearts through prayer and seek the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Below you will find a link to St. Michael's Parish Christmas Mass schedule and local penitential services.
Hot Lunch Ordering
Hot lunch ordering for the winter term starts on Friday, December 5, and continues until Friday, December 26. Order early so you don’t forget and miss the deadline.
Please ensure your order is placed and paid for online before the deadline. Orders can be made at sme.hotlunches.net. Unpaid orders will not be processed until payment is received and will be removed from the system after the deadline. Please be aware that only CREDIT CARD payments are accepted. We ask that you do not leave cash or cheques at the school’s office, nor send them to your children's classrooms. No late orders, changes or cancellations. Please note the Hot Lunch program now has its own e-mail address. You can contact our team at hotlunch@smeschool.ca .
Participation Hours
As we near the end of term, please be sure to submit your hours on the Parent Participation Portal. Please also note that all families are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours by the end of February.
