Spring Social & Auction 2026

This year we focus the Spring Social and Auction fundraising to Teachers & Tuition. St. John’s has always been built on people and the teachers who live their calling each day and families who believe in Christ-centered education. As we celebrate God's blessings towards us, we are focusing our giving in two lasting ways: recruiting, rewarding, and retaining exceptional ELC-8th Grade educators, and strengthening tuition assistance so more students can grow within our school community. These priorities directly support the formation we articulate in our Graduate Promise of developing young people Growing in Faith, Excelling in Education, and Thriving in Community.

Save the Date

Saturday, April 18th at Bigsby's Folly

As the excitement builds for our Spring Social & Auction, we’re inviting our community to jump in and help make the night truly special. Think back to your college days! Those unforgettable events that came together because a group of people shared ideas, pitched in, and made it happen. That same spirit is what turns a good fundraiser into a great one.

If you’ve been looking for a fun way to get involved, meet other parents, and help create a night people will be talking about long after the last bid is placed, this is it! We promise great company, plenty of laughs, and the satisfaction of pulling off something wonderful together.

LAST DAY TO SUBMIT | MONDAY MARCH 9

Lutheran Elementary Schools are excited to announce the 2026 Your Word’s Worth Writing Competition. A celebration of student creativity, strong writing, and God-given talent!

Students in grades 3–8 are invited to participate. Judging will be divided into three groups: Grades 3–4, 5–6, and 7–8. Students may submit one entry in each category: Short Fiction, Short Nonfiction, Poetry, and Fantasy/Fable.

School-level judges will select first-place winners in each category and grade group. These winners will advance to the district competition, with four students per grade level moving forward.

Entries must be typed or neatly handwritten in dark ink and include a completed cover sheet. Students should submit their work to their homeroom teacher no later than Monday, March 9, 2026, who will forward entries to Mrs. Sheppard. District awards will be announced in May 2026.

District honors include:

  • First-place medals

  • Second-place certificates

  • Publication of all district entries in Your Word’s Worth

  • A $100 prize for the top overall winner

We can’t wait to see our students use their voices and talents to glorify God through the written word!

Volunteer for WatchDOGS

We invite the men of our community—dads, grandfathers, uncles, and other special men—to join Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) at St. John’s ELC–8th Grade. This one-time, 4-hour program provides positive male role models, supports safety and student well-being, and gives fathers and father figures a meaningful way to experience school life alongside their children.
