"Encourage one another and build each other up ..."
1 Thessalonians 5:11
What an awesome Halloween week we've had! A huge thank you to our room moms, and other parents, who put on such a fun Halloween party for the class! The class had so much fun today, and I wish you all super fun and safe Halloween weekend!
In Reading this week, we focused on poetry, reading free verse poems and narrative poems. We studied a poem called Stage Fright more in depth, and looked for rhythm and rhyme, as well as identified feelings evoked. In Math, we took our test on multiplying decimals. The class is full of amazing multiplyers, but sometimes decimals can be intimidated. Number sense plays a big role in checking for reasonability when placing decimal points. This week, we started dividing decimals, and the number sense concept will play another large role! We will continue working on this next week! In Social Studies, we finished up our chapter on European colonies, and will begin a new unit on food webs and the movement of matter in Science next week! In Religion, we finished our look at sacraments of initiation, and will move to sacraments of healing next.
