Spooktacular Week Ahead at Lincoln!

Lincoln Staff,

As we head into another great week at Lincoln, I want to take a moment to thank you for the energy and care you continue to bring each day — especially as we gear up for our Halloween Festival! 🎃

This event is one of our favorite Lincoln traditions because of the community it builds. It’s a chance for our students and families to come together — and for staff to join in on the fun, connect with families, and experience the joy our students feel seeing you there.

I encourage you to stop by, even if just for a bit, to enjoy the festivities, say hello to families, and celebrate the spirit that makes Lincoln such a special place. Your presence means a lot to our students and families — and it’s always great to see our team having fun together outside the classroom.

Thank you for all that you do to make Lincoln a community full of curiosity, connection, and belonging. Let’s make it a great (and festive!) week!

Great job!

Thank you for your support and cooperation during Thursday’s Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill. Everything went smoothly thanks to your calm leadership and clear communication with students.

Our “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” procedures and evacuation to designated areas were well executed, and your guidance helped students respond quickly and responsibly.

A special thank-you to Vy Andrew for coordinating the drill and ensuring everything ran efficiently.

Culturally Responsive Teaching

This week, Mrs. Moe brought math to life with a creative and engaging lesson! Students measured and constructed pyramid-shaped projectors to display 3D holograms, exploring geometric concepts in a hands-on, meaningful way while connecting learning to real-world applications.

Her lesson is a wonderful example of Culturally Responsive Teaching. It primarily connects to Hammond’s norms & values layer of culture, sparking curiosity, encouraging collaboration, and making math relevant for every learner. Way to go, Mrs. Moe!
