Dear Parmenter Families,

As we say goodbye to March, we look back on a month filled with exciting moments and important lessons! One highlight was our Rock Your Routes incentive program, where we’ve been prioritizing CORE values during arrival and dismissal—especially on the buses. And let’s be honest, nothing drives the message home quite like Mr. Tarasenko showing up as Spider-Man! 🕷️👏

Last Thursday, we had a "reel" treat during lunch as students got to experience local fish day! Thanks to Food Services and Red’s Best Fish Co., students not only enjoyed fresh seafood but also had the chance to see and touch whole fish on ice—learning firsthand where their food comes from!

Looking ahead, MCAS begins this Wednesday and Thursday for our third graders with the ELA assessment. We encourage students to get plenty of rest, be prepared, and most importantly, try their best! We are here to support them every step of the way.

Here’s to a fantastic April ahead!

Mr. Tarasenko dressed up as Spiderman to celebrate students reading 20 positive Arrival/Dismissals.

Local Fish Day on 3/27 was a blast! Students got up close and personal with fish from Red's Fish Co, our seafood supplier.

High Touch High Tech was here and the third graders got to launch rockets!

Mr. Kelley and Mrs. Geary orchestrated an March Mathness for the ages. Students were grouped into 14 evenly matched pods to compete against each other with puzzle completion. These k-5 teams were fun to watch as they engaged in puzzles independently and as support for one another.

The 5th Grade Celebration Committee has begun to plan an awesome celebration for our 5th grade class! SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday June 11th- 5th Grade Celebration! (rain date- June 10th)

If you are a 5th grade parent, please email Amy Papagno at papagnoa@gmail.com. We are putting together an email chain of 5th grade parents. This is where you will receive information about the event- lunch orders, sweatshirt orders, t-shirt orders, volunteering the day of the event... you do not want to miss this information! Please email Amy at your earliest convenience!

Our current 5th graders will be the last class to graduate from Parmenter! Let's make it the best celebration yet! The current estimated cost per student is approximately $150. Our first big fundraising initiative is direct donations from our 5th grade families. If you are able, please use the QR code below, or the flyer in your 5th grader's folder to make a donation. Donations are completely voluntary, but we appreciate the help to make this a great celebration for our 5th graders! THANK YOU!
