A Message from Principal Anita O'Neill A Message from Principal Anita O'Neill

October 26, 2025

Dear Coyote Community,

Happy Sunday! It’s hard to believe we are already entering the final week of October — it feels like the school year just began! With the end of the month comes the close of our first marking period on Thursday, October 31. Please note that Monday, November 3 is a no school day for students as staff will be engaged in grading and reporting. Report cards will be posted to ParentVUE on November 7 and distributed to students on November 12.

We have several opportunities for community engagement coming up in November:

  • November 10 – Government Worker Appreciation Dinner
The Clarksburg Cluster principals, staff, and students invite all caregivers who are government employees impacted by the current shutdown to join us for a Thank You Dinner at Hallie Wells Middle School from 6:00–7:00 p.m. Please RSVP using this form by November 5.

  • November 11 – CHS Caregiver Open House (8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.)
This is a great opportunity for caregivers to visit CHS and observe their students’ classes in action. To help us plan for a smooth arrival process and visitor badges, please complete this form by November 7.

  • November 20 – CHS PTSA Karaoke & Music Night
Join us for an evening of music, laughter, and community! This fun, family-friendly event will feature performances from our musically inclined students and clubs. Stay tuned for more details soon.

Be sure to check out this week’s announcements and celebrations below — there are so many exciting things happening across our Coyote community!

It remains an honor and a joy to serve the Clarksburg High School community. Thank you for your continued partnership in making this another positive, productive, and spirited week at CHS!

Warmly,
Ms. O’Neill

AI Learning Workshop for Students

CHS PTSA is excited to host an AI Learning Workshop for all high school students on Wednesday, November 6, at 7:00 PM in the Media Center.

This interactive session, led by Amit Arora (Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University), will introduce students to practical ways of using AI tools like Claude and Notebook LM to enhance learning.

Students will explore real-world examples, participate in hands-on experiments, and discover how to use AI to learn faster, think critically, and understand topics more deeply.
