Happy Summer TC Community!
These last few weeks have been buzzing around campus with the excitement of summer and new adventures. As we wrap up another wonderful year at Thornton Creek, I find myself reflecting on all that we have accomplished together and feeling incredibly grateful for this community.
A huge thank you to Josh and our parent volunteers for creating such an engaging and playful Field Day. The smiles, laughter, and excited energy across campus said it all. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of a year filled with learning, growth, and connection.
I also want to give a special shout-out to the alumni parents and former TC teachers who helped bring our first annual Senior Walk to life. We welcomed nearly 50 Thornton Creek alumni back to campus, proudly walking our hallways in their caps and gowns while our current Dragonflies cheered them on. It was a powerful reminder of the journey our students take and the lasting impact of this community. We cannot wait to continue this tradition for years to come.
To our families, thank you for sharing your children with us. It is truly a privilege to partner with you and to be a part of your children's educational journey.
To our students, thank you for bringing this place to life with your curiosity, kindness, creativity, and joy. You are the heart of Thornton Creek.
To TCPG, thank you for the endless support in making our school what it is. We could not do this without you all.
And to our staff, thank you for the countless ways you pour into this community every day. Your dedication, care, and belief in our students make Thornton Creek the special place that it is.
Have a wonderful summer filled with rest, adventure, and time with those you love. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another year of learning and growing together in September.
Enjoy the video down below for the sweetest look back on our year together. Yearbooks will also be coming home today or tomorrow with your student! Thank you Corinne for making both of these happen.
With A Smile,
Brandee

June Staffing Adjustments for 2026–27
As we continue planning for the 2026–27 school year, we are excited to share that our waitlist has been cleared, with the exception of a few Kindergarten and 4th grade placements where we are unable to accept additional students due to class size limits.
While we did not reach the projected enrollment of 460 students from March, we are looking forward to welcoming approximately 427 K–5 students, along with our Pre-K families, this fall.
Based on our updated enrollment numbers, the following staffing adjustments will be made for the 2026–27 school year:
- Kindergarten will remain at five classrooms.
- 1st Grade will have three classrooms rather than the projected four.
- The K–3 Intervention position will return from a 1.0 intervention model to the 0.5 intervention model we have utilized this year.
- We will not have a dedicated interventionist for 4th and 5th grades.
- We will not be adding the additional 0.5 PE position and will maintain the specialist structure we had this year.
While these adjustments impact our staffing structure, they do not change who we are as a school community. I know that together we will continue to create engaging learning experiences, strong relationships, and meaningful opportunities for students. I am confident that 2026–27 will be another successful year for Thornton Creek.
