Rare Disease Awareness Day!
Rare Disease Day is a global movement to raise awareness and advocate for the more than 300 million people worldwide living with a rare disease. Held annually on the last day of February, this day unites individuals, families, organizations, and communities to shine a light on the challenges of rare diseases and the urgent need for research, support, and policy change.
One way we can celebrate is to wear "our stripes" like a zebra. As every zebra is unique or rare. Plan to have your student wear stripes on Thursday, February 26th!
Olympic Closing Ceremony Memories
Sycamore Creek students celebrated the Olympics with a closing ceremony on Friday, February 20th. The students earned metals for various achievements and for olympic games played during the closing ceremony in honor of the Olympics. It was a wonderful day of friendly competition and a demonstration of our profound school spirit.
Enjoy some of our treasured memories below.
Go Guardian
Just a reminder, Go Guardian has a parent portal where you are able to view your students history, and set up web filters for when they are not at school. In addition, you are able to even limit what websites students are able to access.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use the parent portal app.

Counselor's Corner
As we continue through the second half of the school year. One way, we like to support our 4th grade students who might be more nervous/anxious about their transition to middle school is offer a small group to students who could benefit from a smaller group environment during their lunch time to connect with peers who might be having similar experiences, process through them, and come up with strategies to help support them with the transition.
If you think this is something your student could benefit from please complete this google form!

We have extra clothing in emergencies but cannot provide them to every single student. Plus, they come in all shapes and sizes:)
