Our Wonderful Barnes and Noble Event!
What a wonderful evening at Barnes and Noble last night! Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring this fantastic event.
Families had a great time exploring books, participating in a scavenger hunt, and sharing hot cocoa with their teachers. A special thank you to all of our teachers for their amazing read-alouds—they truly know how to bring a book to life!
A huge shout-out to Mr. Smith for dressing up as Harry Potter, the book character costume selected by students through our penny wars. We also appreciated Mrs. Therrien for leading everyone in a fun sing-along.
It was a memorable evening of literacy, laughter, and community. Thank you again to our PTO for making this special night possible!
i-Ready
Students will take their winter i-Ready test when we return to school, the week of December 1st. Make-ups will start the week of December 8th. Teachers will use this information to help monitor student progress. Please click HERE for a more detailed i-Ready letter.
i-Ready progress reports will no longer be sent home in backpacks. Parents can access their student’s progress report online once results are available. Please monitor the E-news for an announcement regarding results.

Davis Kitchen Supervisor is Organic Life Employee of the Month!
Congratulations to "Miss Candy," our Kitchen Supervisor at Davis! She brings joy to our students every day at lunch with delicious meals and a contagious smile! News from the Nurse
Davis families,
Illinois state law requires that all children entering kindergarten, second grade, and sixth grade will have an oral health examination. A licensed dentist must perform the dental exam and he/she shall sign and date the report form. Dental offices usually have the form, but the dental exam form can be obtained by clicking here or by visiting d303.org website under forms, then Health Services. This exam must be within 18 months of May 15, 2026.
In an effort to assist you in completing this oral health exam for your child, the Mobile Dentist will be on site at Davis on Monday, Feb. 2nd provided we have enough students for the Mobile Dentist to come. Please consider taking this opportunity of in school care at little to no cost to you. Services provided are cleaning, screening, sealants, and fluoride.
Permission slips have been sent home for you to complete if interested in participating in this wonderful opportunity on Feb 2nd, 2026. Please make sure that all areas on permission slips are completed for payment before returning them. There are three payment options available to you: a reduced cash rate of $70, Medicaid/All Kids and your private insurance. If you are still deciding, have questions over the break or prefer to pay by credit card, you can always speak with Smile Illinois directly by calling 855-481-8639. If you would rather complete the permission slip online you may do so at myschooldentist.com.
If you have any questions, please contact your school’s health office:
